They're mostly aimed at fp64 compute and anything else above 8/16-bit precision (nVidia dominates there when their Tensor cores can be used). Let me inform you that GPU compute works just fine on AMD and even Intel, despite what Nvidia would have you believe. The only real advantage they have is their massive software libraries they built around CUDA.
